Things to do with a Thong
Back in 2009, Cosmo ran a typically hard-hitting piece titled "Fun Little Tricks Guys Love" which effectively beat Readymade at its own game by suggesting that women repurpose their thong underwear into a ponytail tie in order to get things cooking in the bedroom. (You see, straight men are apparently so sensitive to the presence of thong underwear in a room that they can be influenced by its intrinsic powers even as it serves a completely unsexy, transmogrified function like hair collection! Whoa!) Here are five more ways to repurpose your thongs for a successful Date Night, Cosmo-style:
5. Sexy Headband!
4. Sexy Bracelet!
3. Sexy Necklace!
2. Sexy Ring!
1. Sexy Tourniquet!
(Tune in next month for seven secrets to a successful bath, and our top five tricks for passing gas silently at the office!)

When Bad 80s Hair Accessories Happen to Good People
Was this fashion faux pas politically egregious enough to merit mention in the press, or did it merely help highlight just how much more work has yet to be done if men and women are to ever truly be equal--within and beyond politics?

Pictured Above: A little reminder that male politicians are not immune to public scrutiny of their appearance. Nixon is said to have lost the televised 1960 presidential debate with John F. Kennedy Jr. because of his excessive sweating and tired appearance--a fate avoided by Kennedy thanks to pancake makeup that made him appear rested, youthful and calm on camera. By the 1968 presidential election, Nixon had learned his lesson and was caking it on like a drag queen at a MAC counter.

What Hath Paul McCartney Wrought?
I blame Paul McCartney for Bieber Mania. I used to blame Zac Efron, but now I recognize The Bieb's unintentionally parodic mop for what it truly is: but one element stolen by tween svenghali Usher from The Beatles' pop music playbook.
Too bad Usher failed to read the chapters on charisma and basic language skills.
