Crappy Creative Reuse: Part Deux

We love miniatures, dioramas, and creative reuse projects of the scatological variety, so naturally, we love this toilet paper roll series from Parisian artist Anastassia Elias. We're almost inspired to try our hand at one, but this little reminder of our creative shortcomings reminds us that our time is probably better spent writing and planning next week's lecture on gender in American postwar television.

Pro Tip: Photography was invented a full 40 years before toilet paper. Bananas, right!?!

i think you should have a competition, everyone sends in their best artistic attempt at a toilet roll!

Wow, who would have thought such beauty could be derived from ye olde humble toilet roll!
I once did a stint as a teachers assistant at a playschool and once a week we would make fantasy models using empty cartons, toilet rolls & suchlike but I can safely say that I never quite managed to make anything as fabulously artistic as this ;)

I think you might have to invest in a very expensive, very sharp, crafy cutting instrument to pull that off!

Those are amazing! Love the way they're photographed with different lighting for a totally different effect.

I am not kidding--I really wish I could audit your course. Loved my mass media classes in college, and would love to go back and take more of them (and history and politics) just for fun. Meaning, not having to write any papers. Let me know if your lectures are ever on the internet. Or I'll drop in next time I'm in CA (I'll be the vintage-wearing 40-something in the back row!). xo

That pro tip at the end scares me.

I'd love to have you audit my course, K! It would be great to have someone in the audience who 'got' my pre-1992 pop culture references.
